Policy statement
This policy details how Knowledge Society Pty Ltd (trading as Classroom Mastery), collects, uses, holds and discloses personal information with respect to its current and potential clients and customers, business associates and their employees, as well as visitors to its website. It also explains the rights individuals have to request access to their personal information and/or request corrections to information held by us that they believe to be inaccurate.
This policy applies to the personal information in connection with:

Applicable laws
As an Australian business entity, Knowledge Society Pty Ltd (including the Classroom Mastery brand) is bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (‘Privacy Act’) and the accompanying Australian Privacy Principles which outline twelve (12) principles for handling personal information.

How does Classroom Mastery collect and use personal information?
We may collect personal information through our communications with clients, customers (be those current or potential), and business associates and their employees. This information may be provided directly by you or by other sources (e.g. your employer if you are receiving our programs or services through your employment with one of our clients or customers) to us.
All information collected by us will only be used for the specific purpose for which it was collected and in relation to your relationship with Classroom Mastery. Our employees are bound by this policy as well as an internal Privacy and Confidentiality Policy which specifies the expectations and procedures which they must comply with when accessing and using personal information in their work for Knowledge Society (including programs and services that fall under the Classroom Mastery brand).
At your written request, we will maintain your anonymity and will not collect any identifying information from you where it is reasonable and within our control to do so. However, it should be noted that we may not be able to provide programs or services to you, or otherwise do business with you, if you do not provide certain personal information to us.
What types of information does Classroom Mastery collect?
We collect personal information when you visit our website (e.g. analytic tools, cookies and other technologies), you communicate with our staff (e.g. email interactions, including via platforms like Mailchimp or HubSpot), you provide information directly to us (e.g. newsletter sign-ups, contact forms, event registrations, requests for downloadable resources) or when other sources provide information to us in order for us to deliver services to you.

We will only use or disclose information for: the primary purpose of which it has been collected, for reasonably expected secondary purposes which are related to the primary purpose, and in certain other circumstances provided for in applicable privacy laws.

We do not sell your personal data.
All third parties are bound by privacy and confidentiality obligations consistent with this policy and the applicable Australian law(s).
How does Classroom Mastery store personal information?
All information collected by us through the course of our business activities is stored on onsite secure physical servers or by online cloud-based third party data storage providers. All access to data is password-protected and secured by additional measures (e.g. two-factor authentication). Personal information collected by us will be retained for as long as it is required, for a lawful business purpose or to comply with our legal obligations. Once it is no longer required, information is appropriately removed from storage or de-identified.
How can I access, correct and control the use of my personal information held by Classroom Mastery?
We endeavour to ensure that the personal information we hold is accurate, complete and up-to-date. We encourage you to contact us to update any personal information we hold about you, should you believe that information to be incorrect and/or outdated.
You may make a request to access your personal information held by us and/or to have that information corrected by contacting our Privacy Officer as per the contact details set out below. Requests must meet the following criteria:

you should specify which information you would like to access and/or have corrected

you will be required to verify your identity before access to any information is granted.
Requests will be attended to and a response provided to you within thirty (30) days.
It should be noted that your rights of access to and/or have personal information corrected are subject to exceptions set out in the applicable laws. Should your request be denied for a valid reason (in line with relevant applicable laws), you will receive a response in writing that details the reasons under which the request has been denied.
